by the grace of God I am

One day a young boy by the name Elvis Ongera will attests to the words "by the grace of God I am"

Elvis Ongera was one of our pupil who sat for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education at SOAR Kenya Academy, He is 14 years old. He loves singing and helping his parents at home. Elvis has a dream of becoming a pilot in future.

During His time in school he used to help his peers with tasks and ways to solve the problems. He served as our school Vice president of the year 2022.He is an industrious boy who loves what he does and do it with passion.

He comes from a very humbled background. He has seven siblings. He is the first born.

Elvis joined Kisii High School categorized under National schools in Kenya. He joined High School with the help of well wishes who helped in raising his tuition fee to join form one.

His parents didn't have any hope to take him to school. His mother and grandmother to his mother's side had been sick for along period of time. all the effort was going towards hospital bills to nurse both his mother and grandmother. This affected the performance of Elvis whom we surely knew together with his classroom teachers that she was going to get 400 marks in KCPE but he ended landing getting 391 .

Being the family didn't have hope, we build again their hope after talking to well wishers and friends of SOAR Kenya academy to have him secure a chance in Kisii High school where his letter of placement for secondary school was.

We sure know he is capable of changing his family and the community. He is our sponsored student 002 .
